Software Specification
Advancements in technology have enabled us to work smarter without necessarily breaking into a sweat. A large number of previously manual activities have now been automated or are carried out at the desktop without the need to actually physically move beyond the keyboard finger exercise called typing. These advancements although great can come at a cost. New technologies promise many new and enticing features, most would be nice to have but the reality is that generally most are seldom or never used to their full potential, yet all are added extras which can blow out the cost of implementing technological changes. Document Management Consultancy has the experience to help insulate Organisations from the cost of temptation by guiding Clients away from the extravagance, by focusing on the actual business requirements. We work with both Clients and software vendors to ensure the smoke and mirrors act of some does not occur during any software demonstrations that we are a part of. We do this by working with the Client to develop factual requirement specifications for all software implementations we are part of . These are based around the key needs and budgets of the Client. We then work with the Vendor to ensure that all the requirements, and nothing else is demonstrated back to the Client. In addition to the development of fair and reasonable software specifications, we also work with Clients to assist with the evaluation of software options. These are based again on the unique environment and needs of the Client, coupled with a knowledge of the functionality of existing software. Document Management Consultancy operates completely independently of any one software product and/or vendor, - that is we are vendor neutral. We are able to assist Clients with a totally non biased evaluation of available software that matches their specific needs and budgets.
